Incorporated in 1983, PT Suryalaya Anindita International (SAI) was established to provide hotel accommodation and help realize the potential that tourism holds for the development of the local economy.

SAI owns and builds the hotels and operates them in partnership with Sol Meliá Hotels and Resorts of Spain, the world's largest operator of resorts hotels with more than 350 resorts in 30 countries.

SAI owns two 5 star hotels, located in Bali and Jakarta, and has interests in a third, the Meliá Purosani, in Yogyakarta.

In Bali, the award winning Meliá Bali Villas and Spa Resort at Nusa Dua has 495 rooms and 10 private villas on 11 hectares of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens, complemented by luxury pool and spa facilities.

In Jakarta, the similarly 5 star rated Gran Meliá Jakarta has 404 rooms and provides the high level of service and facilities demanded by visitors to Jakarta's prestigious central business district. The Gran Meliá Jakarta is also a popular choice for major functions as it has one of the city's largest ballrooms, with capacity for up to 3,000 guests.
